Nasal Air Flow (Rhinomanometry):

Rhinomanometry is a minimal invasive instrument that offers a high degree of flexibility and a clear image of nasal resistance to airflow and nasal passage. The instrument function is uniquely designed to comprise a combination of both a quick screening method as well as the standard clinical measuring method. This tool is ideal for:

  • Making dynamic pressure and flow recordings
  • Exploring the aerodynamic consequences of neoplasms, polyps and other space-occupying lesions
  • Performing pre-and post operative assessments
  • Objectively assess nasal patency before and after decongestion

The well established method is frequently used to provide a dynamic assessment of nasal patency through the measurement of transnasal pressure and flow during respiration in patients with olfactory dysfunction caused by conductive (i.e., transport) defects.
